Is the Glass Half Empty or Half Full?
Do you see the joys in your life or is it same old, same old?
These days, we are surrounded by so many negative influences; just turn on the TV or look at the newspapers – it’s quite hard to find a positive story that lifts your life and makes your day.
But we can find our own positivity – that joyful mind set – rather than be drawn into a grey dreary world of complaints and negativities. That world is so draining and wastes so much energy. Be aware of your thoughts and words – is it always “I can’t, I won’t, I haven’t, I’m not” or the dreaded “BUT” word?
Write down these negatives, then write a positive version: “I can, I will, I have, I am”. Keep saying these positives out loud to yourself (in a convenient place, of course). Your negativity will start to slide away and your positive self will start to rise. Write down all the things you enjoy doing, all the treasures you have in your life, and your list will start to grow. Then your glass will be half full, if not full!
