Reflexologist

My name is Teresa Murray and I have been a Reflexologist for the last 25 years. I trained at the Churchill Centre, which I believe was one of the first Reflexology schools in England. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists.

How did I become interested in Reflexology?

I was unwell myself, and doctors couldn’t work out what was wrong. I then saw an advert in a local magazine advertising Reflexology and thought I’d give it a go – what have I got to lose! I found it really helped, eventually the pain from my legs and feet started to go over the sessions. Ultimately I felt more relaxed in myself and my health started to improve all round. I then became fascinated in the practice and decided to train myself.

I have since been self employed, worked in clinics, health centres and our local cancer hospital working on the wards. I took time off to have my children and they love me massaging their feet – solves many problems.

What inspires me about Reflexology?

There is always something new to learn, every pair of feet brings a different story. Our feet carry us forward in life, which we often forget, so how we look after our feet will tell on the rest of our body. By having Reflexology I see what a difference it makes physically, mentally and emotionally.

As Reflexologists we have to keep up our learning each year (CPD), so have been on many courses such as Maternity Reflexology, Energy Balancing, Reflexology and Back Pain including Whip Lash, Colour Therapy and many more.
